Chloé is a French fashion house founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion and Jacques Lenoir. It is known as one of the first brands to create the concept of luxury ready-to-wear. The brand is famous for its romantic, feminine aesthetic, lace dresses, ruffled blouses, and iconic bags such as the Paddington and Faye.
Interesting fact: In 1954, when the brand was just starting out, Gaby Aghion organized a fashion show in a café on the Champs-Élysées — right between the tables of the customers. She didn’t have money to rent a real runway. Models walked between the tables while customers ate croissants and drank coffee, unaware that they were witnessing the birth of a fashion legend. The show became a sensation, and by the next day, all of Paris was talking about Chloé. And so, with not a penny to her name but with immense courage, one of the most famous brands in fashion history was born.
