Some collaborations are built around a shared aesthetic. Others have a shared history.

For Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Aramco, that connection begins in 1959, the year Aston Martin first competed in Formula One. To mark the beginning of their partnership, Glenfiddich explored its archives and uncovered a rare cask from that same year, creating an exceptionally limited expression tied directly to Aston Martin’s racing heritage.

The whisky comes from the distillery’s one-and-only remaining barrel of 1959 single malt, making the collaboration as much about history as it is about craftsmanship. The liquid was drawn from an exceptional sherry cask known for its rich intensity and was selected to represent the shared qualities of the two brands: precision, innovation, mastery, and an attention to detail developed over generations.

The story behind the partnership reaches even further back. Glenfiddich traces its beginnings to the late 19th century, when William Grant identified the Robbie Dhu Spring as the ideal source for a distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Aston Martin’s own story began when Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford looked to Aston Hill, where they raced sports cars and began developing the marque that would become Aston Martin.

Both brands have continued to evolve while maintaining their connection to craftsmanship. Glenfiddich still uses swan-necked copper stills and water from the Robbie Dhu Springs, while Aston Martin Aramco has brought its Formula One operation into a modern era with its state-of-the-art AMR Technology Campus.

The partnership was unveiled at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where the two brands celebrated their shared approach to design, innovation, and craftsmanship. The relationship also extends onto the track, with Glenfiddich branding appearing across the Aston Martin Aramco F1 car, drivers’ overalls, visors, and team kit in markets where alcohol sponsorship is permitted.

What began with two brands looking toward the same year has become a collaboration built around a much longer idea: that true craftsmanship does not need to choose between heritage and innovation.

Timeless apart, iconic together.
